Mary Magdalene Vikuba Anwabiri is a social development practitioner with over 20 years’ cumulative experience in various aspects of community development work, administration and consulting.
With a B.A. and Mphil degrees in social work from the University of Ghana, Legon, Mary Magdalene has worked extensively on development projects with NGOs in Ghana to promoting child rights, sound reproductive health for young people and women’s empowerment in over 20 communities in the Greater Accra, Central and Volta regions. She has also been involved in fundraising, monitoring and evaluation and research projects.
Notable among organizations where she has served in different capacities are: Professional Network Association, Overseas Processing Entity, International Needs, Ghana, Sync Consult Limited, AACE Evaluation Training Institute and JACCD Design Institute Africa (formerly the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design) and EcoInformatics.
She currently runs North Gold Organics, a social enterprise which works with women to promote organic and indigenous fashion products from northern Ghana. She also owns Sterling Support Services, a budding private consulting firm which provides administrative and project implementation support services to development and other organizations. Additionally, she is the Business Administrator for RoRo Eco Maritime Ltd, a company which is working with international partners to promote clean, environmentally friendly and efficient energy alternatives for businesses, leisure, water sports and water transportation through the use solar powered maritime vessels and accessories.
